Frozen Disney Dinner Movie Night

Frozen! Where to even begin?! This movie is definitely a favorite!! With EVERYONE!! We saw it in theaters twice. When it came to DVD I'll admit I didn't go to the store to get it right away and then I almost didn't get it!! Both Walmarts, Albertsons, and Walgreens were out!! Luckily I found it at Hastings!! I would have never heard the end of it!! I was already being whined at that "everybody at school has it!!" Since getting it we have probably watched it 50 plus times!! My kids are acting out parts left and right!! Its pretty cute! My husband said he doesn't think there has been a movie my kids have ever liked as much!

I bought some redish yarn and white yarn for Walmart. I wanted to attempt braids for the girls to be their favorite characters. Elsa for my youngest and Anna for my oldest. For Elsa I did a Rapunzel type braid because that was easiest for me! Then I glued crystals through it. For Anna I just made a Halo braid because my daughter loves her coronation hair. I got this idea from cutegirlshairstyles.com  my daughters bun didn't work out so well because she has too short of hair. Oh well. They were both extremely happy with their braids! As far as their outfits, we didn't really have anything in Anna colors so we just did Elsa and snow colors for both girls. My son wanted to be Olaf! So easy. White clothes, paper carrot nose and paper  buttons!! He was as happy as could be!

The kids helped me cut out snow flakes for our backdrop!

So my mind was going crazy with all sorts of Ideas or things I could do. So the movie is themed in Norway. So you could eat anything Norwegian, like Norwegian meatballs ect... We went with meatballs and rice for the Rock Trolls and Snow! My kids love the rock trolls!! We had cucumber icicles and Olaf noses with Ranch, Frozen Punch, and Kristoffs Ice Cubes (blue jello). For treats, I'll admit we had more desserts than anything ;) we had Elsa rock candy Icicles, Olaf Cheeto noses, Sno balls, Svens Chocolate Carrots, and the girls insisted we have chocolate because both Anna and Elsa love Chocolate, I quote "Whats that amazing smell?! (big sniff) CHOCOLATE!" So we had white powdered and Chocolate donuts!

Do you wanna build a snow man? with toothpicks and marshmallows?  The kids loved this idea! We made the giant snow monster  Elsa creates that Olaf calls "Marshmallow" and Olaf. They had a blast and got really creative!!

  2. Watching someone else go through something in movies similar to what we have experienced in our own life can give us clues as to how you can handle it in a different manner.
