Disneyland with a 10 month old and 3 year old

In May 2008 we ended up deciding to move to Idaho. So before we packed up and left, we took a trip to Disneyland. We went with my family, again ;) This time we had B who was a week away from being 3 which was nice because she was still free( 3-9 is a child ticket), and our boy E who was 10 months. We drove from St. George and made sure to have plenty of snacks and a portable dvd player!
This time there were things both kids could go on and then some that only one or the other or neither could. So an adult has to wait off. We had a 2 day park hopper pass so we had a little more time than the last time we had came with just B and did a one day!

We did a few things we have never done before. We tried Character Dining, which I will tell you about a little further down and found a really neat place for younger kids in California Adventure. Its now called Disney Jr. Live on Stage but was Playhouse Disney Live on Stage when we went. Its a 20 minute show thats all interactive! Mickey mouse clubhouse and friends and other Disney Jr, Favorites are there. They are puppets that come up out of the stage and talk to the kids and tell stories through a show. So the kids are shouting out, singing and dancing! There are really neat effects too like streamers and bubbles falling from the ceiling! I had seen commercials for it on the Disney channel prior to going and thought "Wow! we need to go there!" It was so worth it! We go every time now.

When we got to Cali we stopped at In and Out Burger and the beach of course!

Some of the Characters we saw!!

Okay,  so let me tell you this is the very first time we ever did a character dining and we did it at Ariel's Grotto. Its costly but SO WORTH IT!!! You pay a set price for a child or adult to eat. The food is good. Your whole table gets appetizers to share, your own entree and drinks and a dessert platter to all share at the end. The service is great. You also get to see 5 PRINCESSES! And not just see, they come to your table for an autograph, picture, hugs, you name it! B was in heaven! Even E enjoyed getting his flirt on! Definite must!

Double stroller, also a definite must with toddlers!

Splash Mountain. Still had to have some one sit off with the smaller kiddos on certain rides.

Remember that picture of George and I in this very same tunnel from 2004? Well here we are 4 years later with these two cuties!

So this trip B was old enough to actually remember things. E didn't. Thats ok though because its all about making memories and for those of us that can remember, it was amazing!
